Gain your Foundation amateur radio licence qualifications with some private study and a weekends training and assessment. This is the first stage of a life long hobby.
Getting your first amateur radio licence is as simple as following the numbers
Step 1 – Apply for the course via Scout Extranet. Course Code # 105382
Step 2 – Receive and read the training book before the course
Step 3 – Attend the training course
Step 4 – Sit the theory and practical assessment (Optional)
Step 5 – Apply for your licence (Optional)
Scouts (Teenage), Ventures, Rovers, Leaders and our Girl Guiding friends welcome (direct application accepted). Overnight (Hall Floor) accommodation available.
Training includes colour hand book for pre-reading prior to the course.
Catering will be provided for Saturday Lunch, Sunday Lunch, other meals by arrangement. please advise any special requirements.
Please note, Move in Friday Night, weekend activity includes all training, approved theory/practical radio exam is optional on Sunday afternoon. Please talk to Philip for more details.
