Trans-Tasman Low-Band Amateur Radio Contest
Welcome to Radio Contesting. If you hold an Amateur Radio License or a Certificate of Proficiency (AOCP), this activity may interest you.
If you don’t hold a licence but have enjoyed JOTA and have wondered if there is more to Amateur Radio?

This activity will introduce you to Radio Contesting.
This activity is different to a normal JOTA event, it can be fast paced at times and test your listening skills.
The Radio and Electronics Team are planning to establish a portable amateur radio station with the aim of competing in this radio contest. The contest commences at 6:00pm and concludes at midnight.
We have a limited number of places for mature Scouts, Venturers, Rovers or Leaders to join the team and compete in the contest. You may be involved in operating the radio and associated computer equipment, logging radio contacts and general station duties.
We recommend you BYO your own hike tent, sleeping gear, mess kits and meals. Arrive at 4:30pm on Saturday, pick up will be after pack up on Sunday~10:00am
Cost $25 per participant, payable on arrival or by prior arrangement. Booking your seat on this adventure is essential.
